A bilingual edition of Icelandic-Canadian poet and playwright Guttormur J. Guttormsson’s (1878-1966) Tíu leikrit, first published in Icelandic in 1930. The book includes the original Icelandic texts and English translations by Elin Thordarson and Christopher Crocker. It also features an Introduction by former President of Iceland (1980-96) Madame Vigdís Finnbogadóttir, a Foreword by former Honourary Consul General of Iceland for British Columbia and the Yukon Heather Alda Ireland, and an Afterword by Elin Thordarson. It was published by Kind publishing in 2015 and was edited by Birna Bjarnadóttir and Gauti Kristmannsson of the University of Iceland.
Several of the translated plays were performed during the núna-now festivals in 2014 and in 2015 in Arborg, Gimli and Winnipeg, Manitoba, and at the Icelandic National League Convention 2016 in Vancouver, British Columbia.
